ELKHORN LODGE LODGING INFORMATION:
Main Lodge:
The Elkhorn's Main Lodge represents one of the larger mountain structures built in Colorado during the period 1888-1902. The Main Lodge pillow count is approximately 65-70, depending on the number of beds in the various rooms; each room is different in terms of décor, number of beds, etc. All are rustic; there are no TV’s, phones in each room. All but one room has its own bathroom.
Coach House:
The Coach House was the original stage coach terminal for Estes Park. Currently the Coach House is the Elkhorn's premier lodge featuring 8 bedroom (9 queen beds), 8 bathrooms, living room with fireplace, dining room and
kitchen, excluding the slumber party-deck for kids & their sleeping bags. In addition to the campers' deck, the main deck is sufficiently large for a 70-80 person cocktail party that also has a large private jacuzzi, two BBQ's, a smoker and tables and chairs for 25 (not counting the banister bench seating); this deck offers spectacular Man Mountain views.
Alpines:
There are 5 Alpine units located on the mountain summit immediately South of the Main Lodge. These units range from a four bedroom unit for 12-14 with a large kitchen and living area to a smaller unit.
Cottages:
There are 10 cottages, including Estes’ first school house (1886) and earliest church, (sometime prior to 1888). Cottages are larger than the smaller two-person cabins and range in size from two to seven beds; and the First School House has small kitchen. They were constructed to form a semi-circle around the Courtyard, where space was provided for a common fire pit.
Cabins:
There are 13 cabins that are suitable for a two adults, all have bathrooms. They are located up the hill South of the Main Lodge. Each unit has a small deck and are simply mountain cabins with a view of the horse corral and Man Mountain. These units were constructed in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s, and replaced many of the tent structures previously erected for guests.
